Patty Tavatanakit is a Thai professional golfer who was born on August 28, 1999, in Bangkok, Thailand. She started playing golf at the age of six, and she moved to the United States at the age of 16 to pursue her career in golf.
In 2016, Patty committed to play golf at UCLA where she had a successful collegiate career. She won five tournaments, including the 2019 Pac-12 Championships, and was also named the Pac-12 Golfer of the year twice.
In 2021, Tavatanakit won her first major tournament, the ANA Inspiration, and became the first player to win wire-to-wire since 1991. She also claimed her second LPGA Title at the Meijer LPGA Classic in June 2021.
Patty Tavatanakit is known for her long drives and her aggressive playing style. She is currently ranked No. 5 in the Women's World Golf Rankings and is regarded as one of the rising stars on the LPGA tour.
